Grays Harbor Summary

Curt

Having fished Grays Harbor and its many tributaries since I was about 5 years old, thats 40 years now, it sucks to get old, I can say that this was one of the best harbor fisheries that we have ever experienced.  The fishing was very consistent and we limited on nice kings most everyday during the 4 week season.  We also had lots of very nice coho.

Fish On!
It has taken awhile for me to get my sites updated and posted but that is only because fishing was so good and we were very busy with fishing and football this time of year.

Thanks to all of you who came and fished with me this year.  I hope we have another great season here next year!

Ocean Salmon Fishing Reports

Ocean salmon fishing has been great and this week was no different.  We made the annual long treck to Umatilla and fished deep.  Fishing was very good for mid sized kings and some rather large hatchery coho.  Lots of food in the water up there and it looks like the big group of fish that typically moves down the coast this ntime of year is starting to build.  With the amount of sardines and shrimp up there they may stay for awhile.

Lots of good tuna reports coming in so we will be looking to get our first trip in of the year.

Family and Friends

Ryan and Sabrena
Made a few trips over the last few weeks with family and friends.  Good times.  Lots of great fishing and time spent with great people.  My wife caught one of her largest kings ever landed and my son caught numerous kings.  None of us could not beat Ryan or Peyton to the poles.  Now it is time for the big push of the summer.  Already booked full.  I just hope we have some time to go tuna fishing.

Too big!

Westport Fishing Report

Fishing is great at Westport.  Had lots of nice kings the past several days.  Fish are close in and easy to get to.  Most of these early kings are averaging 16 to 22 pounds.  Doesn't seem to matter what you throw at them as long as you they are around and you time your opportunities on the tides and current direction.

Going to be a great summer.  We have very few days left to fill so if you are interested please give us a call.

Westport Salmon Fishing

Westport Salmon Fishing has started off really well.  Been getting limits of hatchery kings just about every day.  This Sunday the limit turns to two salmon of which one can be a king, either wild or hatchery.  Weather has been rough the last 2 days but looking to get back at it late in the week. Fish have been biting quite well on anything you put down there as long as they are there and you go the right way in the current.

Got to spend a couple of great days with my son catching kings and watching baseball games.  Ryan caught several kings and the Tumwater T-Birds finished a 17-0 season by winning the league tournement this weekend.  Great fathers day all around!

Halibut Season Report

Lots of great action for halibut and lingcod.  Been fishing out of La Push.  Weather has been either flat or rough, go figure with the weather we have had this year.  Hope to get two more days in next week before we switch to salmon in mid June.  Looking forward to salmon, it is way easier work.

We finally have a new computer so we will be able to keep yoou up to date this season.
